Dr. Bill Hamon Comments on The Heart of the Prophetic

Saturday, September 29, 2007

Everyone who wants to be prophetic or who has been exposed to prophets and prophetic ministry needs to read this book.

Click here to order The Heart of the Prophetic.

I read this manuscript with great scrutiny for I have been a pioneer, promoter and defender of prophets and prophetic ministry for 55 years. I can honestly say that Jennifer covers some very delicate subjects with sound wisdom and integrity. The integrity of prophets is as important as the accuracy of their prophecies. People need to know that there are true and false prophets and what makes them true or false. There are also those who are called to be prophets but who are immature, lack sound biblical knowledge, have more zeal than wisdom, or who are presumptuous. Thank God there are now numerous mature prophets with godly character and pure motives who are being true representatives of Jesus Christ, the Prophet of all holy prophets and prophetic ministries.

Thanks Jennifer for bringing greater clarity and correctness for prophets and saints who participate in prophetic ministry.

What is an Anti-Christ?

Saturday, September 29, 2007

Terry Somerville over at Joseph’s Barns offers some keen insight into the prophetic movement, focusing on the anti-Christ spirit and Balaam.

Read Terry’s comments: “When something subtly replaces Jesus Christ as the focus, it is the spirit of Antichrist at work. In todays prophetic movement, it seems the attention has moved away from Jesus. The focus on signs and manifestations is increasing, and the signs are getting stranger.” Keep Reading »

Discerning the Signs of the Times… Prophetically

Thursday, September 27, 2007

As things change rapidly in the world and upheaval is occurring in various areas, many believers are wondering how to interpret the times. Some preachers and prophets are warning that we are in a time of judgment, while others are preaching prosperity and breakthrough. In some camps Christians are packing their bags and moving to “cities of refuge” or looking for the Lord to “rapture” them off planet earth. Yet other ministries are birthing new vision and embarking on ambitious building projects. Keep Reading »

A Prophetic Warning from Ms. Dove

Tuesday, September 25, 2007

Mrs. Cynthia Dove makes some good points in an editorial published over at the Jamaica Gleaner. Here’s an excerpt: “Kindly allow me space to issue a warning to all those who claim to be prophets speaking on God’s behalf. I really don’t know if it is done out of ignorance of the written word or these people allow themselves to be used by the devil to bring reproach to the real servants of God, who really hear from God, or that these people just want to make a name for themselves at the expense of giving the devil and his angels cause to laugh at Christians, and call them liars or deceivers.”

Don’t Ask Me to Prophesy

Wednesday, September 19, 2007

I’ve been monitoring the various prophetic blogs on the Internet through my handy dandy Google news alerts. I find it intriguing that some bloggers invite folks to leave a comment with their name in hopes of the blogger praying a prophetic word down from heaven.

This must not be so. This reduces prophetic ministry to slot machine status, or perhaps better put, fortune cookie class. You cookie crumbles open and you get a generic proverb on a little slip of paper. You put a quarter in the machine and hope it doesn’t come up with a trio of lemons. Keep Reading »

Heart of the Prophetic

Tuesday, September 18, 2007

Well, I’m just about to go to press with my first prophetic book. I’ve been penning articles on the prophetic ministry for years, but have decided to publish a book called “The Heart of the Prophetic” that offers keys to help prophets, intercessors and prophetic believers flow in the anointing.

I’ll give you a heads up and offer some excerpts when we get close to having the book in our hands. I can tell you this much: this book will root out, tear down, pull down, destroy, and build and plant. E-mail me if you want to pre-order a copy.

Seeker-Friendly Islam Coming to a Mosque Near You

Tuesday, September 11, 2007

We’ve all heard of seeker-friendly churches, but what about a seeker-friendly mosque? Hmm.

The Washington Post reports on Islam’s “Up-to-Date Televangelist,” an Egyptian preacher with large TV screens that project his image to the crowd, sort of like Joel Osteen’s services. The Post’s Robin Wright writes,

“‘My goal is that you leave happy,’ Amr Khaled began softly, once he finally got to the lectern. “My goal is to fulfill the hadith of the prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, that says, ‘Whoever puts joy in the hearts of the believers, his reward is not less than Paradise.’ ‘The crowd ate it up. For the next 90 minutes, they laughed at his witticisms, smiled at his stories, nodded at his exhortations and clapped again — spontaneously and often. But most of all, they listened intently. A Prophetic Dream Come True?

Monday, September 10, 2007

I was standing beside a very large and handsome young man who was obviously the angel of the Lord. He was very gracious in his demeanor, yet his posture was as one who stood ready for battle at all times. When he first greeted me he said, “You are invited to stand before the Great Assembly.”

A Prophetic DreamThat was the beginning of a dream I will never forget. After hearing his words, I was instantly transported in the spirit to another place. I could sense that I had entered a realm that was separate in time, yet parallel to the dimension of the present. I was outside the confines of man’s habitation. I was in the spirit. Keep Reading »

A “Positive” Rebuke

Friday, September 07, 2007

Naturally, the messenger of God will need to “root out, pull down and destroy” if God gives the revelation for this to take place, writes Dr. Phillip S. Phinn, founder & senior pastor, Word of Life Ministries in Jamaica. At the same time, he adds, the Spirit of Wisdom should be upon the said messenger, to disguise completely what is being said so that only the person being ministered to will hear and understand completely what is being communicated by the Lord.
