Bynum Bashing Must Stop
Monday, November 19, 2007
Since Dr. Juanita Bynum’s issues with her husband, it seems to be open Bynum bashing season. I’ve seen “apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers” correcting, rebuking, and otherwise bashing Bynum. I think all those who are bashing Bynum need to get out of the judge’s seat. We don’t have a clue as to what’s going on and how the Lord is working.
Everybody has their flaws and I’m quite sure Bynum is no exception. But I’m also quite sure her words are sometimes taken out of context, her actions are sometimes misunderstood and the level of warfare against her life is greater than most of the Bynum bashers can imagine.
The Bible says we are to restore a brother or sister in a spirit of meekness, lest we also be tempted (Galatians 6:1). I don’t see enough of that in the Body of Christ when it comes to fallen leaders. I see too many religious spirits kicking folks when they are down. Where’s the love? Where’s the intercessory prayer? God is the righteous judge. Who are we to sit on His throne?
