Speaking To Nations and Governments

Friday, November 23, 2007

I was reading a great post over at the Catch Fire blog from Australia. The site offers an excerpt from a prophetic word Kenneth Copeland released over the leadership of the nation.

Kenneth Copeland certainly is a credible prophetic voice, and his heart is after God. This excerpt (I have not seen the original) is a strong prophetic declaration to which I bear witness. These are the types of high level prophetic utterances we need to see in the Body of Christ today. These are the types of directional words that announce the true will of God.

This is so refreshing. So much of what I read on the Internet surrounding the prophetic is questionable, with prophecies that curse, judge, doom or otherwise rip apart fallen leaders. Kenneth Copeland’s prophecy, by contrast, builds up a godly leader and glorifies Christ. Prophecy should contain elements of edification, exhortation and comfort.

Of course, this prophetic word Brother Copeland released needs to be bathed in prayer. God is looking for intercessors who birth His purposes in the earth. He needs folks like you and I to get in agreement with what says the Spirit of God, and then to demonstrate our faith through Spirit-led prayer.

John Howard’s liberal government was defeated by the Labour Party - John Howard even LOST his own (safe) seat of Bennelong.

Kenneth Copeland’s prophesy was false. There can be no caveat’s - as many, many Christians were united in intercessory prayer that “God’s will be done with the Australian Government”.

It will be interesting to see how Kenneth and friends fare through US Senator Grassley’s investigation into their financial affairs.

Seems like Kenneth was having a delusion rather than a prophecy. The visionary Kenneth’s so-called “God’s man in Australia” was tossed-out of power by the sound-minded Australian electors.

Let’s hope Kenneth has a prophecy about the Republican party winning in 2008.

    Cheers from Australia!

Thanks to my brothers from Australia for the information. I’d prefer to think Kenneth just missed it. A false prophecy in my book intentionally sets out to mislead. I think what we have here is an erroneous prophecy. Tell me, brothers, are you pleased with the elected official who sits in the seat? Is he indeed God’s man instead? I’m interested in your thoughts on the matter.
