Mapping Judgment in America

Sunday, February 17, 2008

I’ve been reading posts on the Internet that include detailed maps, could be called ‘judgment maps.’ The author seems to think that because many people who didn’t know each other dreamed that Florida was under water, that this is some sort of twisted confirmation of God’s judgment.

This is non-sense and I challenge stable prophetic voices to speak out against this mess. It’s foolishness, plain and simple. Bottom line. I pray for mercy on those who prophecy presumptuously. Let us all remember that we’ll have to stand before the Lord Jesus Christ one day and give account for every idle word — and that includes false prophecy.

Jennifer, now that I have found your Blog I will throw my 2 cents in here and there.
I will have to say there are many voices out there. And unfortunately many people are listening to them either through ignorance, the lack of training, lack of accountability to name a few. The internet has contributed to the rise of prophetic foolishness with many bloggers, presumptuous prophets and prophet want-a-bes, who are not able to discern the true voice of God. I am a firm believer in the biblical fact that prophecy should be judged whether it be dream, vision or prophetic utterance. Any true prophetic experience can stand up to the judgement & scrutiny of mature prophetic leaders.
