I expect to begin hearing 2008 presidential election prophecies any time now. Some of them will be accurate words from the Spirit of God. Others will be goofy gibberish from the soulish realm.

The Bible says to try the spirits. I believe, and have said before, there are some interesting spirits influencing presidential hopefuls. I am concerned, specifically, about the Democratic ticket and continue to pray for God to raise up leaders who will hear His voice, speak His word and do His will.

In 2008, more than ever, we need to acknowledge the call to prayer on the Body of Christ with regard to the presidential election. With more Supreme Court judges to appoint in the coming years, and with wars and rumors of wars escalating, and with oil shortages and food crisis becoming a reality, and with economic recession staring us in the face — the land is sick. We need a man of God in the White House and Christians in the Congress.

I’m reminded of a prophetic word from 2 Chronicles 7:14. God’s prophetic message applies today: If my people, who are called by my name, will humble
themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Can we turn this country around? We can, if we will agree in prayer. Who will stand with God? And who will go for Him?
