The Lord expressed this to me on Friday, October 10 at about 6:30 p.m.:

The merchandisers will rise during this hour like never before. Fearful of their own economic uncertainties, they will seek to fleece the sheep using fearful tactics. They will opine about the virtues of Kingdom economics, but though their words may ring true on the surface, the spirit that’s driving them is that of Baalim. Don’t heed these voices. Sow, plant, scatter your bread upon many waters, but seek righteous ground that will yield fruit, and fruit abundant.

Do not be fooled. I will not be mocked. Those who sow into merchandising schemes will not see the fruit they are hoping for. They will see further destruction of their finances as the seed bears rotten fruit.

But as for you, seek Me and I will release strategies unto you, strategies that will lead you through doors of opportunity that have created wealth for many before you, even in uncertain times. I will not fail you. I will not forsake you. I will not leave you without provision. Stick with My word, and with My Spirit. The two agree in leading you toward righteousness, prosperity and healing in all aspects of your life.

The Holy Spirit recently told me, “You have to go deeper in God to go higher in God.”

In other words, if you want to reach new levels of spiritual authority, receive new anointings for new purposes, gain new understanding and revelation, then you have the press in to God.

What does it mean to press into God?

I expect to begin hearing 2008 presidential election prophecies any time now. Some of them will be accurate words from the Spirit of God. Others will be goofy gibberish from the soulish realm.

The Bible says to try the spirits. I believe, and have said before, there are some interesting spirits influencing presidential hopefuls. The Lord showed me that there would be a shifting and a shaking this year among seats of governing authority in the spirit. Some who occupy those seats will pass on, while others will be removed because those seats never belonged to them. Their folly will be exposed and those seats will open up to those to whom they truly belong. These new leaders will help to build the Church of Jesus Christ instead of tearing it down from within.

I’ve been reading posts on the Internet that include detailed maps, could be called ‘judgment maps.’ The author seems to think that because many people who didn’t know each other dreamed that Florida was under water, that this is some sort of twisted confirmation of God’s judgment.

We all know that Islam is destined to fall. The kingdoms of this world will become the kingdoms of our Lord and His Christ. But I found another Scripture interesting in light of all the factions and in-fighting among Islamic groups. This fighting goes beyond Christianity’s denominational difference to all out violence and murder.

OK, so remember when the scribes accused Jesus of being possessed by Beelzebub? They said He was driving out demons by the prince of demons. Jesus answered:

“How can Satan cast out Satan? And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end” (Mark 3:24-26).

Bam! What an answer. But can you see Islam in this? How can the ‘kingdom’ of Islam stand since it is divided against itself? It can’t. It has to end. We need not fear radical Islam, but we must rather intercede for the souls that are captive to its grip. We must, as Jesus said right after this parable, bind the strongman and spoil his house. Those souls belong to God.

According to the Oxford Book of Literary Anecdotes, a fanatical member of a religious cult once warned Ralph Waldo Emerson that the world would end within 10 days. “Well,” Emerson replied without a hint of worry, “no doubt we’ll get on very well without it.”Do you think Emerson believed this nutbag for a moment? No, and neither should  you when goofy prophetic types prophesy such non-sense. The Bible clearly states that no one but the Father knows when the world will come to an end. So why all the foolishness in the prophetic ministry?

Can you believe another year has gone by already? This time of year is exciting for people who love beginnings. Lot’s of people are searching the Internet for New Year predictions and prophecies. The Holy Spirit says varied things depending on His audience and one’s particular situation. Apostle Jonas Clark offers a prophetic directive for 2008 for those who follow his ministry. I like this article by James Dumont, pastor of Erie Christian Fellowship Church. He says we should embrace faith to get a fresh start. That’s a good word.

I believe God is doing a new thing this year. 2008 will be a year when God pours out His grace in abundance, both His saving grace and His redemptive grace. His power will meet us to accomplish things we may not have thought possible. Yes, that will mean some tough cases — both stubborn folks who need to be saved through the long-suffering love of a living epistle and some new, challenging assignments the Lord has in store for us. We must storm the gates of the enemy and take dominion. That will take faith to access the grace — power of God — because without Him we can do nothing.
